Ranitomeya fantastica "Caynarachi"

Ranitomeya fantastica "Caynarachi"

Ranitomeya fantastica "Caynarachi".

Line: Understory EnterprisesĀ

Ranitomeya fantastica "Caynarachi"Ā is a lowland to highland species, inhabiting Peru,Ā but isĀ only found from the north eastern San Martin to neighboring regions of extreme western Loreto. They do decently in groups, butĀ males canĀ get aggressive.Ā R. fantastica usually lay 3 to 6 eggsĀ in leaf litter, horizontalĀ film canisters, or bromeliads. Tadpoles can be pulled or left to be raised by adults, but may cannibalize if left with other tadpoles in proximity with less-than-adequate food. Egg eating may occur from rival females, and wrestling will often occur between same-sex frogs.Ā No more than aĀ pair should go in a 10 gallon tank or a 12 x 12 x 18 ExoTerra tank, but we recommend larger enclosures due to their speed. Please contact us with further questions.
